MAS June meeting: Christine Neumeyer on “A Journey Downriver: From the Amazon to Your Aquarium”

We’re proud to welcome Milwaukee’s own Christine Neumeyer to speak at our June meeting, held June 21 at the New Berlin Alehouse.

Christine’s presentation is titled, “A Journey Downriver: From the Amazon to Your Aquarium.”
Please join us to learn more about the ornamental wild caught fish industry with this informative and eye-opening lecture that will include captivating footage and photos accompanied by a firsthand narrative of a month spent in the state of Para and Amazonas, Brazil in November of 2018.

    collected
  • Discover what happens between the time they are
    collected & transported downriver
  • Join the fish on their journey downriver to the export
    facilities
  • Tour export facilities and gain insight as to how
    ornamental fish are cared for and treated before
    being shipped to the U.S.

Our meetings are free to the public and you do not have to be a member to attend. Doors open at 6:30 and the meeting starts promptly at 7.  Following our guest presenter, we’ll have a mini-auction and all are invited to stay after for dinner and a chance to socialize with other members.
