We’re excited to host Jay Wilson at our August meeting, held August 16 at the New Berlin Ale House. He will be speaking on the role of bacteria in a cichlid aquarium.
Jay is a 13-year Navy Veteran with a passion for water in a box and has A LOT of Energy. He has been keeping fish most of his life, but mainly cichlids for just over 7 years. He credits this hobby with saving his life and has given him purpose again and that is to share, raise awareness and help support research and conservation so we can keep this thing we love doing: Keeping fish safe and attainable for generations to come. What started with a YouTube video is quickly expanding into something he is honored to be doing.
Our meetings are free to the public and you do not have to be a member to attend. Doors open at 6:30 and the meeting starts promptly at 7. Following our guest presenter, we’ll have a mini-auction and all are invited to stay after for dinner and a chance to socialize with other members.
